Ed Maddux

Based on some of the only CIA operational papers available to the public, this 1960s Cold War era spy series features the unassuming Ed Maddux, a marketing executive for an automobile company who gets called into service overseas. After he passes his initial test as a secret agent in New York City, Maddux receives a transfer to Germany where his involvement with the agency expands in unexpected ways.
